“Versatile Asphalt Maintenance Equipment – An Asphalt Recycler and an Asphalt Hot Box Reclaimer in one”
Like all of Falcon’s equipment, the 1 / 2 ton Pathway slip-in is versatile: it is both an asphalt recycler and an asphalt hot box reclaimer in one. The Pathway can be used to recycle virgin uncompressed asphalt left over after a paving / patching job or asphalt chunks and millings torn up from the road. It is also used to haul and keep hot mix asphalt heated that was purchased from the plant or heat cold patch / cold mix asphalt.
The propane fired Falcon Pathway is perfect for smaller repairs such as residential and commercial parking lots and hard to reach places such as bike paths, nature trails, golf course paths, zoo paths, etc. The Falcon Pathway is the smallest unit in Falcon’s line of versatile asphalt maintenance equipment.
Weighing only 500 pounds empty and 1,500 pounds fully loaded, the Pathway can easily be transported in a pickup truck bed, small trailer or in the back of a Kubota utility vehicle and other utility vehicles like the John Deere Mule or John Deere Gator. Another popular application is mounting a Pathway on a larger truck bed that is used for pavement repair during sub-surface utility engineering projects (pictured here).

Do not be fooled by its size. A Falcon Pathway is designed to 1) recycle asphalt chunks and millings, 2) hold hot mix overnight and 3) heat cold mix / cold patch asphalt. It is the perfect companion to an infrared heater. The Pathway provides just the right amount of asphalt for infrared pavement heater repairs when not needing a larger asphalt recycler / asphalt hot box reclaimer from Falcon. For a cost-effective in-place recycle and repair with an infrared unit, a user can add recycled asphalt from a Pathway to a recycled infrared pavement patch.
The Pathway unit is triple walled and insulated. It comes with a vinyl tarp cover and a removable material unloading door. The floor of the Pathway asphalt recycler / asphalt hot box reclaimer is constructed of a one-piece steel plate. The Pathway design is compact and effective for smaller asphalt repair needs.
The Falcon Pathway is simple to use.
Add the 24-hour timer and battery charger package options to follow 6 simple steps to cost-effective asphalt recycling:
Step 1. Park the Pathway outside of a building
Step 2. Load hopper with reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) or millings and add rejuvenator to material (if necessary)
Step 3. Ensure the propane fuel tank is full
Step 4. Plug in the battery charger to a working 110v outlet
Step 5. Set the 24-hour timer (to start the recycling process at the desired time – typically four hours of recycling time is required)
Step 6. Set the automatic temperature controller to 290-350 degrees Fahrenheit[*]

In about four hours you will have a hopper full of recycled hot mix asphalt to make pothole or smaller utility cut repairs. Recycling asphalt in the Pathway will save time, money, and give you the ability to make permanent hot mix asphalt repairs year round. Take advantage of left over asphalt material by not throwing it away but stockpiling it for later use. In addition to the savings of recycling asphalt waste, the Pathway will also allow you to avoid making temporary repairs with high-cost cold mix / cold patch asphalt and allow you to make permanent year-round hot mix repairs.
